Contacts is your address book: the people and services you send to, saved under a name. You can pick them by name on Send, and the app recognises them in your activity, on the review before you send, and when you verify a signed message. Your contacts are encrypted with your wallet password, like your keys: who you pay says a lot about you. They can only be read or changed while the wallet is unlocked.

Add a contact

Choose Add contact and fill in:
  • Name: who or what the address belongs to, up to 64 characters.
  • Address: paste the full address. A mixed-case address is checked against its checksum, so a mistyped character is caught.
  • Note (optional): what you pay them for, an invoice reference, up to 500 characters.
Each name and each address can be saved only once: a name always means one address, so a look-alike entry can’t hide behind a familiar one. The app also tells you when the address is one of your own accounts.

Your contacts

  • Favorites sit at the top of the page as tiles: click one to send to it. Star or unstar a contact from its row.
  • All contacts lists the rest, favorites first, then by name, with when you last sent to each. Search by name, address or note.
  • Open a contact to see its address in full, grouped to check against what the other party gave you, when it was added and last sent to, and its note. From there you can send to it, star it, edit it, Show history (your transactions with it) or remove it.
Removing a contact doesn’t affect any transactions.

Sending to a contact

On Send, type a contact’s name, or choose from your contacts, instead of an address. The review shows who you’re sending to. Contacts you’ve sent to recently are offered first.
A contact is where you’ll send funds. Check a new contact’s address against where it came from before you save it, and again when someone asks you to change it.

Import and export

Export saves your contacts as JSON or CSV, for a backup or another wallet. Import takes:
  • A JSON export from Parallax Wallet, or a plain JSON list of { "name", "address", "note" } entries.
  • A CSV file with a name and an address column. note and favorite columns are read when they’re there.
For example:
Every entry is checked as if typed. An import never overwrites: entries whose name or address is already in your contacts are skipped. When it’s done, the app says how many were added, how many were already there, and how many weren’t valid, with why for the first few. Files are limited to 2 MB.
An exported file isn’t encrypted. Keep it as private as you’d keep the list of people you pay.

AI assistants and contacts

An AI assistant can read your contacts and ask to add or change one, only as far as you allow in Settings → AI assistants → Permissions. Each change waits for you to approve it, and no assistant can remove a contact.
