Parallax is a decentralized, EVM-compatible blockchain protocol inspired by Bitcoin’s time-tested economic model and secured by XHash Proof of Work. This documentation is your primary resource to understand how Parallax works, how to connect to the network, and how to contribute to its ecosystem.

Where to start

Beginner Guides

New to Parallax? Step-by-step guides to wallets, running a node, CPU mining and AI assistants.

Parallax Wallet

The desktop wallet with a full node built in: hold, send and receive LAX on Windows, macOS or Linux.

Hashwarp

The official GPU miner for XHash: a first run, pools, solo mining, tuning and monitoring.

Parallax Client

Install, configure and run a node from the command line, use its JSON-RPC, and build on it.

Protocol Specification

How Parallax works: accounts, transactions, blocks, the PVM, consensus, XHash and networking.

Exchange Integration Guide

What an exchange needs to list LAX: nodes, deposits, withdrawals, confirmations and the status API.
Only the client documentation is versioned, one version per major release: the current one is v2.x, and v1.x is archived. Everything else always describes the current network and software.

Network at a glance

The full list, with address and transaction formats, is in the Network reference. To add Parallax to MetaMask, see Setting up MetaMask.
