# HiveOS & mmpOS

> Mine with Hashwarp on HiveOS and mmpOS, with the ready-made packages.

Each Hashwarp release has a package for HiveOS and one for mmpOS, on the [releases page](https://github.com/ParallaxProtocol/hashwarp/releases):

| Rig OS | Package |
| - | - |
| HiveOS | `hashwarp-<version>.tar.gz`, labeled "HiveOS package" |
| mmpOS | `hashwarp-<version>-mmpos.tgz`, labeled "mmpOS package" |

Both report the hashrate, shares, temperatures and fans to the rig OS through Hashwarp's API, which they keep on `127.0.0.1`. Both restart Hashwarp when it exits, which the [watchdog](/hashwarp/safety#the-watchdog) relies on.

<Note>
  Set the overclock in the rig OS, as for any miner. Hashwarp's own [overclocking](/hashwarp/overclocking) options aren't needed there.
</Note>

## HiveOS

<Steps>
  <Step title="Copy the package's link">
    On the [releases page](https://github.com/ParallaxProtocol/hashwarp/releases), copy the link of `hashwarp-<version>.tar.gz`, for example:

    ```
    https://github.com/ParallaxProtocol/hashwarp/releases/download/v2.0.0/hashwarp-2.0.0.tar.gz
    ```

    HiveOS reads the miner's name and version from this file name, so use it as it is.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a flight sheet">
    In HiveOS, create a flight sheet with your Parallax wallet, choose **Custom** as the miner, and open its **Setup Miner Config**:

    | Field | Value |
    | - | - |
    | Miner name | `hashwarp` (filled in from the link) |
    | Installation URL | The link from the previous step |
    | Hash algorithm | `xhash` |
    | Wallet and worker template | `%WAL%.%WORKER_NAME%` |
    | Pool URL | The pool's `host:port`, for example `pool.example.com:3333`. Several pools separated by spaces are failover pools |
    | Pass | The pool password, if it needs one |
    | Extra config arguments | Any Hashwarp options, for example `--tls --temp-stop 85` |
  </Step>

  <Step title="Apply it to your rigs">
    Apply the flight sheet. HiveOS downloads Hashwarp, starts it, and shows its hashrate and statistics on the rig's page. The miner log shows Hashwarp's output.
  </Step>
</Steps>

To update Hashwarp, change the Installation URL to the new release's package.

## mmpOS

<Steps>
  <Step title="Copy the package's link">
    On the [releases page](https://github.com/ParallaxProtocol/hashwarp/releases), copy the link of `hashwarp-<version>-mmpos.tgz`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a miner profile">
    Create a miner profile of the **Custom miner** type with the package's link, your Parallax wallet and the pool. The package maps the profile's pool, wallet, worker, password and TLS setting to Hashwarp's options.

    Extra Hashwarp options can be added after the profile's arguments, for example `--temp-stop 85`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Apply it to your rigs">
    mmpOS downloads Hashwarp, starts it and shows its statistics.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Other rig operating systems

Any Linux with glibc 2.28 or newer runs the Linux archive as it is: see [Configuration](/hashwarp/configuration) to run it as a service. A RaveOS package isn't available yet.
